Web3 remains to be ready for its ‘killer utility’ – that ‘factor’ that’ll carry thousands and thousands/billions of recent customers into the house.
…and this NFT gated video name characteristic on Courageous browser…nicely, it is not that utility.
BUT! It’s a neat re-imagining of an already confirmed use case for NFTs: neighborhood entry.
Proper now, most gated on-line Web3 communities use NFTs to present holders entry to a Discord channel.
There’s just one downside: Discord SUCKS.
Chatting on the platform is an in-cohesive mishmash of misplaced notifications and damaged threads.
Level is: after we consider ‘intimate on-line communities,’ we do not consider Discord.
(Or perhaps we’re simply within the fallacious communities, who is aware of ¯_(ツ)_/¯)
